4th of July 2008, Arcadian Arrives

I have decided that trying to put up old photos just isn't going to happen so I am starting from the birth of Arcadian. For those that do not know, Justice (daddy) was away at Officer Candidate School in Virginia from the end of May and

arrived home July 3rd. The boys and I picked him up at the airport, we got everyone settled and in bed. I fell asleep around midnight and woke up around 2am with contractions. You must remember that my due date was July 20th and I had a scheduled c-section for the 16th. The contractions were coming every 15 minutes or so so I just tried to relax and sleep. Well, I couldn't sleep and by 6:30 am they were 3-5 minutes apart. Justice woke up and I told him what was going on. We layed in bed and watched some TV until 7am. I decided I'd take a shower and see if things slowed down, if they didn't, then I'd start figuring out what to do with the kids so we could go to the hospital. The shower didn't help much so I called my younger brother Russell and my mother and told them they needed to come over to watch the boys. We ended up getting to the hospital around 9am, I was still contracting, nothing to painful, just annoying. They hooked me up to a monitor to see what was going on. I wasn't dialating but I was contracting and they were getting stronger and closer together so they decided they'd go ahead and do the c-section. At 2:51pm Arcadian Francis Stevphen Everett Van Pelton was born. He weighed in at 8 lbs 2 oz and was 19 inches long. Everything went good with the c-section and Arcadian was born happy and healthy.
